Google to Release Free Source 'Chrome' WEB Browser
Internet Explorer and Firefox ready to do battle with Chrome?
Google announced Monday that it has been hard at work on an open-source browser known as Chrome, a beta version which will be broadcast in 100 countries on Tuesday.
The new features will be included "isolated" tabs to prevent accidents browser and a more powerful engine JavaScript.
"Why are we launching Google Chrome? Because we believe we can add value to users and, at the same time, help drive innovation on the Web, "Sundar Pichai, vice president of product management, and Linus Upson, service Google engineering director, wrote in a blog.
Google has apparently sought to keep the new Chrome in an envelope until the weekend. A 38-page comic book online who provided details on Chrome hit the blogosphere Monday morning, but Pichai and Upson said in their blog after Google a "press" send "too soon" on the web Band cartoons.
The cartoon represents various Google engineers describing the features of chromium, including isolation tab idea.
"By keeping each tab in an isolated" sandbox ', we were able to prevent a tab another blockage and provide better protection against rogue sites, "Pichai and Upson wrote.

The concepts are good, and it is a beta. Mozilla's products were extremely buggy in beta state as well. Firefox has come a long way over the years. Know what you're talking about before you talk. If you remember the first Firefox release, you'll remember how quickly it bloated up and use most of your available resources. As a web developer, I'm looking to give Chrome a try. I'm more concerned with its rendering habits, because I know the application capabilities and bugs will be worked out by the time a final release is announced.

It isnt released yet. Apparently, someone moved it to a page that was accessible by the public, but Google caught it and redirected the page to Google home - at least I go to igoogle.com when I try it. They even removed the cached page that showed the download.
No one has it, in the US or anywhere else yet.
One statement said it would be available at 18:00 GMT.

Chrome is just bad. I have been pre-beta testing it with a group of 25 other programmers hired by Google...
It is SLOW...It is BUGGY...It LOOKS bad...The code is overly complex and contains overlaps and redundencies...The 'big deal' SANDBOX feature is fraught with problems...one tab can often totally prevent the thread of another from being expanded...
