Apple iphone 2.0 3G firmware 2.1 updates have been announced.
After facing so many complains and problems fonnally Apple CEO announce a huge updates to solve all the previous problems. This Announcement takes place at the "Rock on party". All the download of this updates is taken place through the iTunes.
Apple said a dozen improvements to the 2.1 firmware "contains", particularly "significantly better battery life." Given that only about every iPhone 3: e owner moaned about battery life, it will be interesting to see how the new firmware fare on this front. More information after the cut.
Another interesting book is more towards better security, with the option to delete the iPhone that after four failed attempts to write it. Apple has also closed the security loophole, which enabled the iPhone favorites to be available to circumvent it. We are rather less impressed by the "Repeat to record two more times for incoming text messages," although, and we would much prefer voluntary indefinite notice.
Backups are much faster with 2.1. On our 2: a iPhone with a 20-voice applications installed iTunes backup made before the update was the best part of 20 minutes. Full backup was made after the firmware update (the previous backup deleted) took just over four minutes.
Setting up for Safari is also new opportunities for databases. This shows how much storage space used by Google to translate our iPhone, so it seems only more detailed information screen for certain Web applications
