OLYMPIC chiefs are accused South Korea of a television channel of "stealing" images of the Olympic opening ceremony after it aired a video of repetition.

The film crew of the private station Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) and sneaked filmed in a full dress rehearsal which was broadcast in South Korea on Tuesday and then posted on the Internet.

The magnificent opening ceremony video contains images 3D floating humpback whales, kung fu fighters and trapeze gymnasts give a tantalising glimpse of what is coming in eight days.

"I think it is disappointing to see that someone is there and literally steal one of the greatest moments of the Games," Kevan Gosper, an International Olympic Committee member of the Executive Board.

"It's a big surprise and I have not heard of this before."

The Beijing Olympic organizing committee was also furious, saying that the shooting was not permitted.

"We are disappointed and frustrated by the broadcast by SBS,''said committee spokesman Sun Weide.

"This matter is still under study.''

Security around plans for the opening ceremony was unprecedented.

YouTube has yanked the so-called coup sneakily images of the opening ceremony of the Olympics, citing the violation of copyright applications.

The sequence east of South Korea a television station filmed a dress rehearsal for games without explicit permission. Olympic organizers complain that the images should be kept secret.
