The combination of five completely different sports is Modern Pentathlon, the sport's most demanding Olympic Games. Pentathletes competition as part of a day in five disciplines: shooting, fencing, swimming, horseback, and Cross-country. Modern Pentathlon men and women athletes need to have the strength, endurance, quick reflexes and concentration, in order to meet the requirements of the sport.
Athletes fire 20 shots with a pistol in the air 40 seconds, closing all other competitors in a round-robin format, swim 200 metres heats and sowed show jump on a horse, they have known that for 20 minutes.
The last event is the 3000m run, where the pentathletes trigger at intervals corresponding to their points for the first person across the line wins the gold medal.
