Tahaan (2008) Movie Preview and Synopsis
Tahaan "- is a fable than stay the same eight-year-old whose life revolves around the search to find real purpose in their small world.
Tahaan (Purav Bhandare) lives with his grandfather (Victor Banerjee), her mother Haba (Sarika) and older sister Zoya (Sanaa Shaikh) in the prairie scene of Kashmir. All of them live in the hope that one day the father Tahaan, has been missing for three years.
The death of his grandfather, the local money lender Lalji and his crib Kuka (Rahul Khanna) for the assets of the family, including his pet donkey Birbal, against the repayment of a loan outstanding. Well, the life of Tahaan, his mother and sister has a turning point in the direction of the rough pasture. For Tahaan, his favorite donkey Birbal back home is for the sole purpose in life.
After various efforts to make money, Tahaan Lalaji approaches with a view to restoring the loss of his fortune, but is devastated to learn that an older Subhan Darr (Anupam Kher) has purchased and Birbal in the mountains ... the same mountains, from where Tahaan's father never returned.
But Tahaan interprets the value and pursued by Subhan. The older prophetic not befriend Tahaan, at first sight, but slowly warms up this strong and determined soul whose love for Birbal are of paramount importance. But at the end of the trip, Tahaan is more discouraged if Subhan Birbal gifts were orphaned in his eight-year-old nephew, and even long-time assistant Subhan called Zafar (Rahul Bose) can not be of any assistance to poor Tahaan. On his way back home, Tahaan finally finds a teenage boy in Idrees, convinced him that his efforts are never enough to get back Birbal. Instead, it promises to get back Birbal a favour. All Tahaan has to be done to a package through the mountains in his next trip. Displayed zeal Tahaan, Idrees hands him a grenade. He said that when the time comes, he said, what to do.
Tahaan determines, in his second trip with Subhan and Zafar, grenade and package hidden under the saddle Birbal. What is the price that Tahaan will pay for Birbal? And how far you go to save their only purpose of life?
Tahaan is now at a crossroads, where its final decision would determine their fate… "Do Birbal again?"
