Story
In college Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapur) was numero uno. In academics, sports, dramatics and touted as the next cover of Time magazine. But four years after winning the best-student-of-the-year trophy from his architectural college, he's wondering why a brilliant architect like him, with designs to set the Canadian landscape on fire, is still struggling to find that One Big Chance to showcase his mettle.
It's almost as though some negative kismat is following him around because whenever something good is about to happen, it seems doomed to fail.
Why else would his alarm refuse to ring, his shower stop midway, his car refuse to start, just when he's in a tearing hurry to reach a crucial meeting on time?
The end result is the same? The deal is dead or the client is dead!
Desperate to fight this cussed kismat that's hell bent on playing such mean tricks on him, Raj meets a quirky oracle, Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla). She tells him that soon his stars will change his stars and make everything work in his favour; but for all this to happen, Raj has first to find his lucky charm and never let go of it. But she tells him no more, leaving Raj mystified, trying to figure out what this charm could be.
Suddenly his life seems to be on the right track. He's managed to impress top builder Sanjeev Gill (Om Puri), into giving him a prestigious project?
Priya is a tough-talking, tough-decision taking girl with a heart of gold. She is an idealist who is intent on making the world a better, more humane place and is quite willing to fight a lone battle for it. She is a doer who believes in action. Life for her is clearly colored in blacks and whites. Shades of grey have no role for her. She will give her all to her causes, her people and her love and expect nothing less in return.
Raj even succeeds in persuading pretty Priya (Vidya Balan) that he's the Messiah who can save her beloved Community Center from destruction? And also opened her eyes to her philandering fiancé (Amit Verma).
Raj even manages to thwart the evil designs of old-college-foe-turned-deadly-professional- enemy Dave Kataria (Manoj Bohra)?
Does this mean that Raj has unwittingly discovered his lucky charm? Has lady luck finally decided to smile on him? Where will his new found kismet ultimately lead Raj? To the height of love or pinnacle of success? Only Kismat Konnection can tell?

I just loved this movie because of Shahid looks. He looks great and the songs are really good.

The movie was quite
The movie was quite entertaining though very predictable. But I was not bored for a minute but it may be because I am a die-hard Shahid Kapoor fan! Shahid was great! Don't know about people who thought he was trying too hard or he was acting like one other SK, I personally thought he is really coming of age and maturing with every movie and acted great in the movie. and it will be wrong not to say the other obvious thing--man can the man dance!! I was almost grooving in my seat when he moved to those Pritam numbers!! Vidya Balan is a great actress but fashion and style cannot be completely overlooked Vidya! In fact I was wondering didn't Aziz Mizra hire a stylist for Vidya? Shahid looked great and had great stuff to wear but the same cannot be said about Vidya. She wore very girl-next-door clothes, often without any accessories. Don't think the fashion jewelery costs much! And she does need to shed some of those extra pounds! you don't need to be a size 0 but a 4 or even a 6 will surely be great! They looked good together though the romance was not very highlighted. They looked like good friends who share a great Chemistry! But overall the movie is worth a watch, even more so if you like Shahid! Good job, man!
Kismat Connection is a
Kismat Connection is a feel-good movie that you go to when you have an evening and nothing to do with it. The basic idea is borrowed from the 2006 Lindsay Lohan flick "Just my luck" where the girl's luck rubs off on the guy. However, here,instead of exchanging fortunes, Priya (Vidya Balan) is just Raj's (Shahid Kapoor) lucky charm. Of course, Raj falls in love with priya. Priya finds out he's using her for luck, and them Raj gives up a very big business deal to be the good guy in Priya's eyes. There is also a Priya fighting for the lost cause of a community centre angle that is ispired from the 2002 Sandra Bullock- Hugh Grant starrer "Two Weeks' Notice".What is good in the movie is Vidya Balan, does her role with panache. Vishal Malhotra, who ha really come a long way as a comedian and should be given bigger roles. Boman Irani has a small role but a very grandfather/santa claus type charm to him. Juhi Chawla is teaching the world how to age gracefully. Himani Shivpuri has amazing comic timing. The songs are good and upbeat. What disapoints, Shahid Kapoor largely. Looks like he's trying very hard. But in his attempt to be good,he becomes a mix of his father, Pankaj Kapoor, and Shahrukh Khan. He is a good acotr,proved by Jab we met,and should thus stick to his style. Om Puri, big actor not a big enough role. The chemistry between the lead pair is negligible. The look good as friends maybe, but not as lovers. Vidya Balan should stick to indian clothes, as western do not really suit her.
Overall, movie is ok, a passtime, not worth a multiplex ticket,that I just spent on it! :)

GOOD IDEA NEEDS GOOD LUCK... When you cant even make a clip of 10 seconds, you dont have rights to critisize such good movie. It's rightly said "A feel good movie" I will give 4 star out of 5.
