Application forms are invited for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination(VITEE),2008 to be held on 19th April 2008,Saturday.

VITEE 2008 Important Dates
Issue of VITEEE-2008 Application Forms starts from 31st December 2007.
Last date for the Sale/Receipt of filled VITEEE Application forms - 20th February 2008.
VITEEE 2008 Applications can be obtained from selected post offices through out India, the details will be furnished in the website on 30th December 2007
VITEEE 2008 Date - Engg. Entrance Exaimination will be held on 19th April 2008 (Saturday)

VITEEE 2008 Eligibility :
* A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 60% of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB)
* A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% average marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology(PCM / PCB) for Candidates belonging to SC/ST and Students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and from the North Eastern States of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST category must fill in the proforma as given in Appendix-VI and have it attested by competent authority (The list of authorities empowered for the same is given in Appendix-VI).
Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh should fill in CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY proforma given in Appendix-VI.
These documents should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
* Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) candidates are eligible for all the programmes
* Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Biotechnology & Biomedical Engineering programmes
* Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination in March/April 2008 are also eligible.
Vellore Institute of Technology Admission Procedure:
- Advertisement given regarding issue of application forms, important dates etc., in all leading newspapers all over India and notified in the VIT website.
- Applications can be obtained from selected Post Offices / may be obtained by post from VIT.
- Entrance exam conducted in major cities all over India.
- Publication of VITEEE results in leading websites.
- Call for counselling in batches and allotment of branches on the basis of the rank.

Application by post:
can be obtained by sending a crossed DD for Rs.750/- drawn in favour of “VIT Univeristy payable at Vellore, to the Admissions Officer with a request letter containing the full addres of the applicant
Direct Purchase:
By handing over a DD for Rs.750/- in person at VIT University, Vellore (or) at Chennai Administrative Office.

She could'nt appear the entrance exam because we were late to hear about your College.We learned about your college from one of my friends daughter who is studying in your college.
