Deandre Brown breaks leg in New Orleans Bowl. Southern Miss and Troy faced off Sunday in the New Orleans Bowl. Deandre Brown caught 67 passes for 1117 yards and 12 touchdowns. Southern Miss took flight in the end zone during Orleans Bowl against Troy.

After the contest, the injury was revealed as a broken lower left leg. No other details were provided. Troy cornerback Jorrick Calvin, who was on the other side of the play from Brown. Brown didn’t see the fall himself, but was nonetheless mortified by the result.

While attempting to complete a touchdown pass, Brown’s leg gave out from under him, leaving him with a severe fracture. ESPN’s camera caught the entire moment in leg-snapping slow-motion.
