USA 2008 presidential election, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2008, will be the 56th consecutive quadrennial USA presidential election and select the president of USA and Vice President of the USA. The Republican Party has not officially chosen their candidate, but its presumptive nominee is John McCain, the senior U.S. Senator from Arizona; Barack Obama, the young U.S. senator from Illinois, was chosen as candidate for the Democratic Party. The 2008 election is particularly remarkable because it is the first time in American history that two sitting senators will run against each other the president [1] and because this is the first time an African American will a presidential candidate for a large party and the first time the two main candidates were born outside the continential USA (Hawaii for Obama and the Canal Zone to Panama for McCain).
