
Hollywood's Santa Parade was held on Sunday, November 30th at Los Angeles. There was also Winterfest presented by Lift Up America. Winterfest is an annual celebration of giving back to the Hollywood community.
There were 4000 kids invited from Ronald McDonald House, local children’s hospitals, YMCA, Boys and Girls Clubs, Police Action League, Oasis Club, Churches and school starts. The parade begins at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue at 5 p.m. Winterfest and other street festival, started at 11 a.m.
It was called Santa Claus Lane Parade when started in 1928. It took place every year for 75 years on the weekend after Thanksgiving in the Hollywood. This parade is free for every one, Grand stand seating can be available in $35. There were following starts announce for 2008 parade :
David Carradine, Demi Lovato, Anne Jeffreys, Ann Rutherford, Melody Thomas Scott
Kyle Massey, Neal McDonough, Buzz Aldrin. There was Santa Claus riding an 18ft. high, 62ft. long float in the grand finale. Toy group Skoodlez will also host an interactive booth at Winterfest, where children can participate in educational, online fun on Skoodlez laptops.
