I, Shiladitya Shome from Kolkata, humbly place before your Goodself that I need your help to save my family from utter distress.
Last year, my mother suffered a massive Cerebral Attack while asleep and she was under Coma and Ventillation for a number of days.Since it was a very critical case, Doctor advised to admit her in AMRI where she was treated. It was a very costly treatment and a tough battle to win.However, by the Grace of God, she regained her sense and gradually improved. Now she is at home but is very weak & is under Medication.As per Doctor's advise, the treatment and costly medicines will have to be continued for the rest of her life.
After the above incident, my son met a road accident and suffered Collar Bone injury. He was under treatment for a long time and by the Grace of Almighty, he is now O.K.
Following the above debacles, my wife met an accident- she fell down from the stair case and damaged her cartiledge and ligament of her left knee. She was totally bed-ridden for three months. After treatment for more than three months, she has improved but not regained her normal walking capacity. Physiotherapy and medication are still on. Doctor has hinted that the treatment may have to be continued for a long time to recover fully.Daily Physiotherapy and Medications are very costly.
To meet all the above medical expenses and the expenses for the study of my only son, a 1st. year Engineering Student, I had to spend all my Savings and had to sell the Ornaments of my wife.
Further,to meet the expenses, I had no other alternative but to take loan from the market on a very high rate of interest. I am a Service-holder. This interest has increased on a cumulative way, bringing the outstanding to a big amount. It has become difficult for me to sustain after paying that huge amount of interest every month. I have to pay the Principal also. In this precarious condition,due to want of money, I may have to discontinue the treatment of both my mother and wife leaving them entirely to their destiny. Without treatment,what would be the fate of them,I cannot imagine. Without treatment, anything may happen to my mother and my wife may not regain her normal strength of left knee and normal walking capacity through rest of her life.
In this desperate situation, I pray to your Goodself that if you can help me out of this situation by lending me an Interest-free loan of Rs. 24.00 lakhs enabling me to pay off my laons and outstandings in the market, I would remain grateful and ever indebted to you.It will take some time, but I Undertake to repay you the entire amount of the said Loan of Rs. 24.00 lakhs as early as possible.
If you so desire, I can send you the copies of above medical Reports and Documents for your kind perusal.
Please save me and my family from this acute financial crisis and destruction by extending your kind gesture, for which God will Bless you and I and my family will remain ever indebted to you.

I was and am so happy to have known one Indian who refused to accept Austrailian University award because there were racist attacks on some six or more Indian students in Oz, I cant help but remeber the legendary Mr Dalip Kumar,( Yussuf Ali) REFUSING to return some honor conferred by Pakistan Government to him while people tried to mount pressure on him merely because of Kargil Intrusion where the number of Indian soldiers who laid their life for the country were, if not more were atleast equal to the number the lives lost during 1971 Operations against Pakistan- East and West. (I remeber Mr Zaved Akhtar and his second wife Mrs Shaban Azmi supporting his decision duly sponserd by media- I happen to have seen one such mock discussion)

Further, I have not been able to read, but I heard on TV that people tried to compare small time but famous actor sharukh Khan. It pains me to hear that two unequals are being compared. This is unfair and unethical. Even by stature, he falls too short of your heels, so I request the media and certain sections of society prmoting Sharukh Khan to give space to reason and dont compare blue blooded King and the nouveau riche not withstanding the title of (phony) king that he has added with his name.

Request to get help to save life of a 6 year old adopted child Rahul Patel.

Respected Sir,
My adopted child Rahul Patel had got a fracture in his neck while playing on 23.12.08. Today(03.04.09) doctor’s told me that the treatment would cost near about 1 Lac Rupees and should be given as soon as possible, otherwise it may result death of Child. Till now he haven’t got any treatment because I don’t have money. I had already forwarded an application to Red-Cross, Loin’s Club, Collector and C.M. M.P. on 01.01.09 and 31.03.09 in order to get some help but haven’t got anything. Patwari had also investigated on 04.03.09.
I took my child to Civil Hospital Ujjain and M.Y. Hospital Indore but they asked for bribe and I’m unable to fulfill their demands so they refuses to provide proper treatment to my child.
I had already forwarded e-mail to 300 persons and organizations but haven’t got help form anyone.
Sir, I am a social worker and don’t have any source of income. Currently his treatment is going on in Chand-tara Dava-khana . Child was very serious please help me as soon as you can. A copy of this letter is forwarded to Press, Electronic Media, different Organizations and Persons. Please show about this on television in order to get help in his treatment.

The poor child had already undergone several operations; and there is one major operation to be carried out, after which we believe she can lead a normal life.

I am personally involved in this project, and the costs of the operation would come to Rs. 12 lakhs (this is after the 50% discount granted by Jaslock Mumbai). We have so far collected AED 17000/- odd from several philanthropists, and Anitha (Radhika’s mother) have around 2 lakhs rupees with her. The matter has been taken up with the media (89.1 FM) and Gulf News Express with a plea to raise some funds, but the response is not so overwhelming.

If you can please take up the matter with DSAA members and see if we could collect some contribution for the needy soul, that would be really helpful. I have visited the family in Sharjah and should state that the child is brilliant and really deserves our help. Radhika’s mother can be contacted on 00971-50-8024973; and you can give CCIA reference.
